Today is the day! Mercury is currently 27°37' of Scorpio and will officially turn retrograde at 11:41am EDT ... gulp! Just kidding, you're here in the Mercury Retrograde Meditation Program, so that means you're prepared!
Our meditation has us focusing on our breath today. Do your best to sink into the feeling of breathing in and out of your skin to create a sense of calm to carry you through your day.

One thing is for certain, always under-schedule yourself during Mercury Retrograde. It will alleviate any scheduling hiccups, and the slower pace will definitely help you in all ways.
Just for today, keep your breath deep and your mind focused on the present moment. Take breaks in your day put your hand on your heart and breathe.

We're entering our first full week of Mercury Retrograde! Mercury is currently sitting at 27° 14' Rx of Scorpio.
Today's affirmation: I am infinitely joyful and abundant
Here's your Self-Reflection Sunday : Every Mercury Retrograde period happens in three phases. Here's a little backstory for today's reflection:
Pre-Retrograde (occurred October 11 to October 30 from 11° of Scorpio to 27°) This is when Mercury first journeys across the area of the sky he will retrace during the retrograde period. We want to be taking our Mercury Retrograde precautions during this time (backing up important digital data, under-scheduling ourselfs, checking and double checking appointment details, etc). This period usually gives us insight as to how we can navigate sticky situations during the actual retrograde period.
Retrograde (occurring now, October 31 to November 20 from 27° to 11° of Scorpio) This is when the past "comes back to haunt us" ... but if you think of this period as a gift, it a time of a-ha moments that can lead to huge breakthroughs or forward movement on our journey. When something unsettling occurs, we can look back at the Pre-Retrograde period for clues.
Post-Retrograde (will occur November 21 to December 7 from 11° to 27° of Scorpio) This is the period of integration. What lessons did we learn over the retrograde period? How can we begin to integrate them into our experience to move us forward on our journey? Continue practicing the Mercury Retrograde precautions. Move slowly, be deliberate with your words and your actions, and most importantly ... now that you know better, do better!
Now ... Think back to the period from October 11 to October 31. What happened over that period that confused you, caused upset, or seemed like a big disrupt in your experience?
This information will give you some insight about how to prepare or what to think about over the next three weeks. Of your findings, ask yourself:
where can I shift my perception to something more loving?
who must I forgive, and for what, in order to move past this?
what must I see differently in order to move forward?

Here's this week's Self-Reflection: We’re coming up to a Full Moon in a few days and so today’s reflection is designed to support you in preparing for that.
In astrology, Mercury is the planet of communication—not just how we speak, but also our thought process through which we communicate. Now this is the interesting part: thoughts and words are vibration, and both have creative power. What we think and how we speak create our experiences. When our thoughts are of a high-vibration (aka “positive” or beneficial), we’ll create more experiences and opportunities of that frequency. The same is true of low-vibrational thoughts (or “negative” and non-beneficial).
In Tarot, the card that represents Mercury is The Magician. This card (pictured below is from The Wild Unknown Tarot Deck) is a card of action. This card says “you have the power of all four elements within your reach. Now it’s time to use them.” We see here a wildcat with an infinity symbol on its chest with its paws on a pentacle. The wildcat and infinity symbol represents us and the pentacle represents the material world. This card asks you to embrace the speed, grace, and agility within and to think beneficial thoughts that will create the life you desire.
Of course now is not the time to begin something new or make bold decisions, but it’s definitely a time of reflection. Over the course of this week, observe your thoughts. Just as you watch your breath during meditation, watch your thoughts as you go along your week. What thoughts are present when you experience a delay or mix up with your schedule? How do those thoughts shape your experience? What thoughts go through your mind when there’s a misunderstanding? Which ones do you identify with and what experience does it create?
There’s no judgement in today’s self-reflection. Just a willingness to take an honest look at your thoughts and see how they serve you.
November 11th is a special day. It’s 11-11 and also the midpoint of Mercury Retrograde. It’s this point where Mercury and the Sun come into an alignment that generally reveals what this Mercury Retrograde period is here to teach us. And then on the 12th we experience a Full Moon in Taurus, so we enter into a time of gratitude and release. Included with today’s reflection and meditation is information on how to complete a full moon ritual you may want to consider completing between the 11th and the 13th.

It is said that the lessons we're meant to learn during the retrograde period will be revealed around this time. Remember to breathe! In any given moment, your top priority is to breathe and observe what is happening both within and without. This will allow everything to fall into place.

Full Moons are a time of gratitude and release, and Taurus is an earth sign that reminds us to "be here now!" Take some time today or tomorrow to complete a Full Moon ritual. It can be as simple as pausing for a moment and giving thanks for what you have and declare what you're releasing once and for all.

We're in the waning gibbous phase of the moon. This means the moon is shrinking in its shape and this favours release. Over the next 10 days, focus on releasing all that has come up during Mercury Retrograde that doesn't align you with your Higher Self. Using your Higher Self Journaling is a great tool for that — have you used it yet?

We're in the final stretch of Mercury Retrograde ... as in the last 5 days (yay!). We're working with a familiar hand gesture for the next little while to help balance the emotional aspect of Mercury in Scorpio.
Be sure to keep breathing deeply and stay very aware of your thoughts. As you observe your thoughts, do your best to turn them into Love. How do we do that? Through prayer.
The prayer I speak of is simple and does not belong to any particular religion or belief system. It's simply a way of shifting our mindset from fear-based thoughts, to love. Here's how to pray: - Acknowledge where you are not at peace - Make the decision for peace - Affirm peace in your life
Here's an example of a prayer you might find useful over the next little while:
Change is in the air and I'm filled with both fear and excitement. I surrender all fears, known and unknown, to love and I embrace the anticipation of what's to come. My mind is focused and clear to receive the messages I need to embody my Higher Self. And so it is!
Another example: I harness the power of love to lift me above all that is not loving. If I lose my way or forget who I am, I invite Love to remind me of my own strength. Love is the way I walk in truth.

Here's this week's Self-Reflection: Last week we talked about the idea of how thought creates form on some level and practiced observing our thoughts during certain moments in our week. This week we'll look at what we've learned about ourselves, who we want to be, and how we can be that person.
Usually during Mercury Retrograde, deep truths are revealed to us about ourselves and for the most part, the more misaligned our actions are with our Higher Self, the deeper the lesson. If this MRx revealed a disconnect between your intentions, your actions, and your Higher Self, we can now begin to look at how we can bridge that gap.
Ask yourself these questions: - What kind of experience are my thoughts creating? - Are these thoughts aligned with the life I envision for myself? - Do my current daily habits/actions align with the life I envision for myself? - How can I bring my daily actions in alignment with my Higher Self?
Some great news, Mercury goes direct on Wednesday (omg YAY!) and will take a week to return to his normal pace. Once we're out of the backwards motion, we can begin the integration phase. My hope is that these questions will support your Post-Retrograde experience. To perform the breathing technique in today's meditation: 1. Today is the last (full) day of Mercury Retrograde! That's right, soon all the wonkiness will soon be less wonky and we'll hopefully have gained much more clarity. Are you as giddy as I am?
Mercury is currently 11° 53' Rx of Scorpio. This is the degree where he'll hang out for the next few days and my sense is that this will reveal something important for us. In numerology, the number 11 "symbolizes the potential to push the limitations of the human experience into the stratosphere of the highest spiritual perception." So will our experience of Mercury Retrograde, all it revealed to us and allowed us to work though, take us to new heights? There's only one way to find out ... and that's by integrating those lessons.
For today, and the next few days, our practice is to simply focus on our breathing. Try to extend this idea into your experience off your meditation cushion. But seriously, I hope this program is serving you! The good news is we'll stay together over the course of the next 17 days to help us process the last 6 weeks. Think of this next period like the aftershocks of an earthquake ... something can pop up at any time, so be prepared!
Today we'll focus on our breathing, and I'd like to do something different for our reflection today. As Mercury, the planet that represents the mind, will be hovering in the same place over the next few days, it may be reflected in a stagnant mind. Do something to break up that energy: get into your body! Go out for a run, do some vigorous yoga, DANCE! The possibilities are endless, just get physical ... your mind will need it. It's our first Self-Reflection Sunday Post-Retrograde! Mercury is currently 12° 27' of Scorpio. We get to redo (for the second time, in total our third) our journey of the last 2/3 of Mercury in Scorpio.
Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio is a wonderful time to do the inner work. When we do this, we come face to face with our shadow. MRx in Scorpio is like going deep deep deep into the basement of your mind where you've shoved all the old memories and traumas in hopes of escaping them. Now we must go through the clutter to make room for something spectacular. This is the Universe forcing us to grow. It's like cleaning out a cluttered basement that you never use so you can turn it into a rental unit and make some extra income!
So today's Self-Reflection Sunday invites us to go deep. What were the big revelations that came to you this MRx period? What were the thoughts you witnessed during this period? Who are you when you believe those thoughts? How do you behave? If that were to continue, where would you be one week from now, one month from now, one year from now? Would you be closer or further away from your Higher Self?
Now it's time for brave honesty: based on your reflection above, does this bring you joy? If yes, how can you enhance it? If no, ask yourself this: who would I be without these thoughts? How would you move, act, speak? Now step into the future. If your thoughts and actions continued on that trajectory, where would you be one week from now, one month from now, one year from now?
Take these reflections with you into your New Moon Ritual. The next New Moon is in Sagittarius and occurs precisely at 10:06am EDT on Tuesday, November 26. Do your ritual between Monday or Tuesday evening to get the most support from the moon, but any day this week will work. Also, consider using the Higher-Self Journaling technique over the next 30 days to support you in staying focused on your New Moon intentions. Mercury is currently 13° 3' of Scorpio. And so we enter a new week: we have Mercury in the Post-Retrograde phase and tomorrow we begin a new lunar cycle.
Our focus for this period is to observe. Simply observe your thoughts, observe your interactions, and make choices that will align you with your Higher Self.

November 26—New Moon in Sagittarius
Mercury is currently 13° 46' of Scorpio and at 10:06am is the precise moment of the New Moon in Sagittarius. The second last New Moon of 2020.
So when I tell people "oh yes, it's New Moon and I'm doing my ritual tonight" they either think a) I'm doing some voodoo witchy stuff in the middle of the forrest somewhere (which, let's be honest I have been known to do that!) or b) they think I'm just handing my power over to some "unseen" force and sitting around waiting for something to happen. If you've experienced a New Moon ritual with me, either in person or through this program, you know that's not the case.
Yes New Moons are the time for setting intentions, but really any moment is a moment for setting intentions. What the New Moon ritual does is give us focus and carves out time for us to create a list of goals AND action items for us to complete over the moon cycle to manifest our intentions. The only way the universe can work FOR us is THROUGH us. So, yes—New Moon and Full Moon rituals are magical, but that's because we let the magic work through us by doing the work to make it so.
I hope this serves you on the start of this new lunar cycle. This is our last one before the Winter Solstice, which I consider to be the New Moon of the Earth's cycle. Mercury is 19° 0' of Scorpio! New month, new focus!
Today's Self-Reflection Sunday is simple: a little space and a few questions for you to take into stillness with you as we embark on this last month of 2019.
Ask yourself: What moves me forward? What is it time to invite into my life? What is holding me back? What is it time to give up? What is it time to start?
We have seven days of this program left, but I hope your meditation practice will continue. For now, sink into stillness with these questions and see what comes up.

The other day I had a conversation with someone and it went like this:
Person: "I think the reason I didn't make [meditation] a priority was because I've been feeling mentally better."
Me: It's the meditation that's helping you feel better. Keeping up is like a daily multivitamin!
Person: "That's the best description of meditation I've ever heard."
... and I have to agree! Not only because I said it (lol!), but because it's true. We take medicine when we're sick, but we take vitamins and supplements as preventative measures against illness and to improve our health. Same is true for meditation: we can use it to get out of mental and emotional stickiness, and once we're out we use it to maintain our mental well-being.
You will continue to have access to these meditations beyond December 7, so feel free to use them when you need them! And also try to follow your own ... you might find that even more helpful!

Mercury is currently 24° 07' of Scorpio.
In a few days Mercury will pass the point where he stationed retrograde (began his retrograde period) and we'll enter into new territory. This retrograde season brought on some necessary shifts for us to be put on the right path, and with that we have a big Full Moon coming up that will allow us to cleanse away all that we're ready to release and step into gratitude for the lessons we've learned. All of this will prepare us for eclipse season which is set to be a big one! I'll have more on that over our next few days together, but for now keep breathing, stay centred, and keep choosing Love.

At 12:55pm EST Mercury officially steps foot on new soil! The Post-Retrograde period is now over and Mercury moves out of an area of rocky, shifting soil to warm, soft sand. You can soften now, knowing that the turbulence is over and you can continue on your path a little more centred and focused.
